Friday Favorites

Who doesn't love shoes? I love, love, love shoes and they make me happy. If I could I would buy shoes all the time....hmm....a new shoe for every day of the week. :)
I love shoes!
I just got these new Sanuk shoes and they are so comfy and light weight. I thought that they would be a perfect shoe to throw on with just about anything, shorts, capris and jeans and if you are having crazy-all over the place kind of weather like we are...one day it's snowing, then it's nice and sunny warm, and the next it's cold n' rainy. See, so they are perfect for whatever and whenever and even come in other colors too.
Maybe I should buy another pair. ;)
Have a HAPPY weekend!

Easter Success!

Easter was a success! Yes, the gifts were bought, the candy...including that chocolate bunny was purchased, the clothes were ironed and the dress and bow were made just in time. A success!

Oh, and of course they loved it all!

We had to include those Easter eggs where ever we could.

Then it was off to Grandma's house.
Round 2
Yep, they hit the jack pot here too. Every year Grandma Karen does an awesome Easter egg hunt along with a few gifts and this year she only packed up about "400" eggs. CRazY!
Again, they all love every minute.
Calvin sitting here with his best buddy Gage.

Look his basket, okay his bucket, is on overload and he was trying to sit down for pictures without spilling, but he did anyways.
Good try!
Too many eggs!

Not to bad! All and all it was a GREAT day and even the crazy weather around here held out so we could be outside. Good luck with all that sugar. Until next year. :)

If any of you have cute Easter pics that you would like to share we would love to see them and post them on our blog.

Friday Favorites

One on my favorite things is watching my kids play the piano. They have been playing for 1 1/2 years and are playing quite well. My 7 year old, really enjoys playing his favorites for others. He will ask just about anyone that comes over if he can play for them. He plays in front of his music class at school all the time and this past week, played in front of a LARGE crowd in Disneyland. We happened to walk by a little restaurant on main street and heard a gentleman playing the piano. We stopped to listen and show my kids how good he was. When the man finished his song, my little boy asked if he could play a song for him. It was AWESOME! I couldn't have been more proud!

What ya Doin?

What ya doin? Well, I found myself this morning painting my toes.... because we are going to Mexico for our 10th Anniversary. Yes, I'm a little excited, but that isn't what I should really be focused on right now.

There are only 5 days left until Easter!
I have 2 empty baskets that need to be filled and unfortunately, they aren't going to fill themselves. I'm really not on the ball.
So, here's what I'm thinking...Tangled, sidewalk chalk, maybe a jump rope, big chocolate bunnies, a pair of earrings, you can find them here :), maybe some clothes and loads of Easter candy to rot out my kids teeth. Perfect! Okay, I may play around with some of these ideas, but I'm close.
Any other suggestions?

Good Luck with all of your Easter events!

Friday Favorites

Wrapping our Spring Break, we decided to check out the new movie

It was cute. Good to have a show that the whole family can go to
(the movie selections lately seem to be slim-pickings, kind of a bummer).

But to give a true "Favorite" for this Friday, my vote goes for

Love this move! Funny, sweet, action-packed, an all-around great movie choice. One that is referred to as "a definite purchase".

What is a favorite of yours?

SpRinG BreAk

In our little neck of the woods.... it's SpRinG BreAk! Our ventures this year will be close to home.... a "stay"cation, as they say.

So after a number of votes and requests from our kids we finally narrowed the week down to some realistic, reasonable activities to do. We decided on activities for M, W, F, so that Dad can balance "play" time and "work" time.

Yesterday started our ventures. We found a great place in Provo called Lowe's Air Sports

Lots of jumping and running and fun. It was loads of fun and my kids did not want to leave!

As the evening rolled around we met up with family for some bowling and yummy pizza afterwords.
I must say, sometimes the simple, easy things really are just as fun as the big and extraordinary.... the best thing is spending the time together.

Here's to the rest of the week!

My Fuzzy Jar

This is my fuzzy jar and my new best friend. I have one for my girl-y Clare and one for my little guy Calvin and if you remember awhile back I referred to them as....
My Thing 1 and My Thing 2

They were up in the night for whatever reason. One would come up one night and the other one would come up the next night, like they were on a tag team or something. So that's were my new best friend comes in and my solution...the fuzzy jar.
So I made a deal with my so called Thing 1 and Thing 2, that if they stayed in their beds all night, then in the morning they could put a fuzzy ball in there jars and if they earned so many balls then they could get a toy. A little bribery never hurt anyone.....Right? It helps me sleep at night? :)
Well, they both agreed to my new fuzzy jar idea and even thought it was a pretty cool. It took a little adjusting, but it's worked and everyone is a little more happy because we are back to sleeping through the night. I love my sleep.

Friday Favorites...

Working out is a love/hate relationship. Getting motivated in the morning to get your workout clothes on and getting started is the first step. Choosing your workout, whether it be getting on the treadmill or putting a DVD in is the second. Once you get started, your set. The love part comes in once you've finished exercising, you know you've worked hard and you feel great! The very best part comes when you've been consistent and you see the results.

My new favorite workout is this Jillian Michaels 6 week six-pack. She kind of kicks your butt, but it will be worth it when swimsuit season hits. The key for me is consistency and not eating cake.
