Friday Favorites

The favorite for me this Friday is my garden.... or more better yet, harvesting my garden.

We put in raspberry starters a couple of years ago and they have completely taken over. Raspberries are everywhere and we are loving them! Plain, toppled over vanilla ice cream, made into jam.... whichever way—they are delicious!

We have also enjoyed the tomatoes, peppers, squash, etc. Everything tastes so fresh.
Grilling the veggies on kabobs has been a weekly event (at least).

Last, but definitely not least, have been the herbs. My personal favorite has been basil.
Yum, yum! Chopped with tomatoes and red onions... made into a bruschetta!
Delicious!

Friday Favorites

School is well on its way and, in fac,t around here the change of Season is well on its way. We are moving into Fall. Like it or not, here it comes and let's just cross our fingers for a long and enjoyable Fall ...please. :)

So, that brings me to this weeks Friday Favorites.

Look at how cute these little girl Soda shoes are. A Favorite and super cute on. The perfect shoe for Fall and they would even be perfect rolling into winter. The hard part will be choosing your color. The Sodas are very similar to Toms, but for me I prefer the look of the toe on the Sodas, as well as the price. I have yet to purchase, but my Clare sure likes them.

Friday Favorites....Happy Birthday!

This Friday is extra special at my house...today is my daughter's 12th birthday. I know everyone says this, but time flies and I can't believe my oldest is 12. She was born on 9/9/99...she has an awesome birth date. She is such a sweet girl! She is very thoughtful of others and is willing to help out around the house. She can be a quiet as a church mouse or as loud as a lion.

She is so excited about this birthday because we have totally re-done her room. She will get the reveal later today. I'll post the before and after pics later. So, in honor of Natalia's birthday, enjoy your Friday and eat some cake!

Friday Favorites

We have been really soaking up the warm days. I love this time of year, the gardens are full of fresh vegetables ready to be harvested, the warm summer evenings and the smell and taste of a yummy barbecue! Definitely a family favorite as of late. We've been trying all sorts of things and savoring all of it. Hope you have a great holiday weekend and enjoy some time with family and friends and the tastes a good barbecue!

Sorry, if you have desperately missed our weekly posts and we are striving to keep you up on the latest and greatest happening in our neck of the woods.
So we've missed a couple of Friday Favorites and you might be wondering, where did they go? or What happened? Well, first off, it's the end of the Summer and you've got to get in that last little bit of Summer fun. Then today was our first day of school, which is always a little crazy as you are rounding up school supplies, buying new shoes and some new clothes. You might have to run by the grocery store and pick up some school lunch snacks and probably some extra bread for all those sandwiches that you will be making every morning for the next 8 months.
Oh, wow! School! I'm on the fence about school starting, it's a love-hate situation.

Anyways, continuing on, I've had some computer issues, but who hasn't...right? So, I have a new computer, and to be honest I'm not super computer smart to get my new computer up and running the way I want, so I kind of have to wait for my husband, which is great, but takes a little more time. I'm also working on getting a new photo shop installed and that takes time and is where all my photos are.

I think that life itself can be crazy-busy from time to time.

So, that's a little bit of what is or isn't going on here in our neck of the woods and why you haven't been able to enjoy our awesome weekly updates and Friday Favorites.

Friday Favorites...

I am SO excited that today is Friday because tomorrow I get to go see my sisters. The three of us run Belle Trousseau, but I live 6 hours away from them. I don't get to see them as much as I would like, so I anticipate my visits with them. This weekend we are meeting in St. George at our parent's home. We will all have some little people with us, but at least we'll be together. We'll swim, shop and on Monday night we get to take our girls to see Little Mermaid at Tuachan. It will be a fun packed weekend. I can't wait!! There is nothing like my sweet sisters!!
