Friday Favorites

Welcome Spring! Love, love, love seeing, hearing and smelling the new season. Even though there are snow flakes falling right this moment, there are still little birds flying around singing their springtime song. You can see the grass slowly coming to life, the tulips are popping a few inches above the ground, and teeny, tiny buds are appearing on the trees and bushes.

Now, Mr. Sun if you could join in the springtime fun!?!

Love spring for the bright, cheery colors and the warmth of the sun.
Putting away the sweaters and coats and pulling together a new spring wardrobe.

Fun Snap Shots

We just wanted to share a couple cute snap shots of little Baby C wearing one of our lace chiffon headbands. Sometimes it's kind of fun to see our headbands and bows on these cute little kids. You can find this cute lace headband here.

We have so many fun colors to match just about everything you little kiddos will be wearing, so check that out as well. Our knit bow here, that little Baby C is wearing is so comfy and soft, we love all of our knit headbands and they all seem to be our most popular ones.

Lately my favorite thing is this awesome website http://www.ourbestbites.com/. While I was checking out some blogs I happened to stumble upon this one and it's awesome and everything I've made is super yummy.

When it comes to making dinner sometimes, well maybe all the time, you just get sick of making the same old things and then try, but you can't think of anything good or new to make. So if you're like me and want some yummy, easy food check it out.

Warmer Weather

We are "loving" the warmer weather around here. What is your weather like? We have hit the high 50's and really close to 60 degrees and it's great.. will take it. We even spent some of our weekend outside soaking up some sun and warm yummy weather.

I love when the weather warms up and you start seeing all of your friends and neighbors start coming out of their houses that you haven't seen forever, almost like there strangers and you have to go and get reacquainted. It's funny!

I love the sound of warmer weather and to me, that's all of those kids outside playing and screaming and of course laughing.

We can't forget the smell of warmer weather and that's perhaps a little harder to describe, but it's fresh and warm and I do love opening my windows and letting it blow threw. Love it!

Only 5 days until and it's official, that is Spring will official be here and how awesome it that? Awesome! and an even bigger AWESOME! I know, I'm just a little excited for Spring and warm weather because it makes me happy!

Friday Favorites...

One of my favorite treats is cake. Cupcakes and donuts are great too! My favorite type of cake lately are the "Nothing Bundt Cake" bundtinis. They are dangerous, and oh so yummy! I can turn down cookies, ice-cream, candy or chips, but have a hard time saying no to cake.

Wednesdays! Time for school! :) I look forward to my Wednesday afternoons because it's the day when all of my 2 little people are in school and you know what that means, right? Yes, that means that I get 2 and a half hours of free time, anything I want to do. Yay! Yay! Sometimes you just need and deserve it. Right?

Until 5 minutes ago when Calvin's teacher called and cancelled class today because her little guy is sick. :( Bummer! I was really looking forward to some me....whatever I want to do time and now I'm just going the have to take my little guy with me. Don't get me wrong, I love these little people to pieces, but you have to admit that it is sure nice every now and then to have a break. Well, I guess there is always next Wednesday.

Friday Favorites

Okay, so we want to do a little something new.... to share with you some of our "favorites" each Friday. This is actually a favorite I've had for a while Livestrong. There are so many fun things to check out on this site. From tracking your workouts and meals, to recipes and tips to better living. I also love the the "loops" where you can calculate your workout route or find a new one. To add to this favorite, I came across a tip yesterday and it linked to Livestrong and I love it. If you are a fan of lemons, you will love this too! It's a hot water and lemon drink to start off your morning. It's super yummy and super good for you:


Hot Lemon Water

1 cup hot water
juice of 1/2 lemon
(1/2 t. to 1 tsp sweetener ie. honey, sugar, stevia, splenda)

It's Back!

The dreaded never ending "cold", or in other words head ache, sore throat, and we can't forget the runny nose, a favorite I'm sure. Just when I thought I was on the mend. Why is it that a cold lingers and lingers and lingers until it either goes away or you get another go at it, round 2. I guess it means round 2 for me. : (

I poured myself a cup of hot chocolate this morning, hoping that it might help sooth a sore throat and holding the warm mug in my cold hands and feeling the heat ooze out onto my face I couldn't help thinking how happy this cup of hot chocolate made me feel. The whipping cream also adds a little extra happiness. :)

Isn't it funny that sometimes it's the little things that make you happy or that bring a smile to your face. When I here my kids giggling, it makes me smile. I'm a warm sunshine kind of girl so I love it when the sun is out, it makes me happy.

Hurray to all of the little things that make us happy!
