I just got the coolest things for my birthday.  My husband spoiled me and got me some new running shoes and a new watch.  The shoes are so comfortable and I think they look great.  The watch it awesome because it tracks where I run, how fast, how long and how many calories I burn.  I am a techno geek, so I love coming home and seeing all the stats.  I actually look forward to going out and working out.  If it takes cool shoes and a snazzy watch to get me to like working out, then so be it!  Have a great weekend!  Happy Fall!

Friday Favorites

  Last week I had the opportunity to hike to the summit of Mount Timpanogos. I went with my husband, my good friend and some of my husbands co-workers. We started our hike at 4:30 a.m.... yes, a.m.!, and hit the summit about 9:15 a.m. The first few hours were all in the dark. Was it long, yes. Was it hard, yes. BUT, it was totally worth it! It was an amazing view from the top in all directions and beautiful scenery all along the way.

My "favorite" part was accomplishing something that I knew was going to be hard, and believe me... it was a mental debate leading up to "hike day"! The best thing was we did it.

Friday Favorites

It's that time of the year when everything in your garden is bursting with veggies and even some of my fruit has come up for round 2. 

My favorite! 

I love, love, love all the yummy veggies and especially my tomatoes, they have grown so good this year, that we are eating them 24/7....they taste just like candy. 

We've had so many tomatoes and I don't want them to go to waste, that I've decided to make and jar salsa. 

Super yummy and it will be even better when Winter rolls around and we have yummy fresh salsa from our garden.

Friday Favorite

I have a new love for subway art.  I love the different fonts, the different colors some have and I love what most of them say.  I have printed some for my daughters room and framed them, I have used some as handouts for different things I'm involved in and I have printed them for decor in my house.  A friend of mind introduced me to the cute ones that you can find here.  It's been fun to print them and change them up for different occasions. 

Hope your first weeks of your kids back in school have been all you want them to be.  Enjoy your long weekend and watch for a great upcoming sale!

Friday (un)Favorite

 I have mixed feelings about the fact that school has started. My kids started this past Tuesday. It is nice to (try) to get back into a routine and I know, for the most part, my kids have been excited to get back (never for the homework though!) : )

My un-favorite part about it is that summer is coming to a close! Where did it go... seriously!?! I love the casual days, the warm weather, the fun activities, the no worries approach.

But, what do you do?? Sigh.... Nothing I suppose, but to try and take in the warm weather while it's here and enjoy the weekend!
