Friday Favorites

My Friday Favorite is painted pots. Love them! 

I've seen cute painted pots in photos, at Disney World, at cute little boutiques and of course on Pinterest. So this week I decided that I wanted some of those cute painted pots at my house for some of the many plants I've grown this year. 

I decided on Spa Blue...isn't it so cute? and I bet it will be even cuter when those petunias start to flower. I can't wait!

So all I did was paint 1-2 layers around the base of the pot and then I let it dry and when it was dry I sprayed it a nice shiny clear/protective finish. I think I sprayed a couple of coats of the Clear Acrylic. 

It gives it a nice finished look. 

Easy Peasy and I'm done...why didn't I do this sooner? Anyways, I'm having fun getting all my yard cleaned up, cute and ready for the warmer weather and of course Summer.

Friday Favs

Best thing about living in Las Vegas is the weather.  This weekend the weather is supposed to be beautiful with 95 degree temperatures.  We are going to venture out to Lake Mead and enjoy the sun by playing on our boat.  The water is not yet warm enough to play in, but cruising around the canyons, stopping for lunch and enjoying time with my husband and kids is my idea of a perfect weekend.

Friday Favorites

We are in the middle of Spring Break this week. Having the kids home is fun and they love the time off. Here is Utah, we are experiencing typical "Utah" weather which is rather bipolar! 70-80º one day and 30-40º the next!

So my Friday Favorite is a good weekend getaway. I'm not so much the "camping" type, so we are off to a hotel for a few days to get a little R&R, let the kids swim and play, enjoy a couple of our favorite restaurants, take in a good movie and to check out the new City Creek Shopping Center in downtown Salt Lake.

Friday Favorites

Only a few short days left until Easter...are you all ready? I think I'm ready and my kids are super excited. We are big...well, most of us are big breakfast fans and so we have decided to have a yummy morning Easter brunch and I have recently discovered a site that has tons of food recipes and I've decided to make a few brunch breakfast finds from this site http://foodgawker.com/. Now be careful when you go to this awesome site because the longer you continue looking or "gawking", the hungrier you will get and you will want to make everything. Seriously! Love it! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it...it has to be all of those pictures. This is also a great idea dinner site which I often struggle trying to find something new to make for dinner...you know mix things up a little.

A couple yummy Easter morning possibilities. :)

These are some of my favorite headbands. I love them because they are unique, soft and they come in all of our great knit colors.

One of the great things about this is your little girls can wear this,

and if you have older daughters, they'll wear this too. My 12 year has several!

Friday Favorites

It's always so great to come to the end of a busy week, to have fun plans for the weekend and especially to have a fantastic weather forecast. Yay! We have had some up and down weather the past few weekends, one would have the starting signs of spring, then the next back into the depths of winter, then the rain. It's been a bit crazy.

But this weekend... Awesome!! Sunny and warm. Things are starting to turn green, flowers are slowing popping themselves up and it's going to be great to be out in it having some fun!
